You may think it's too late, but maybe it's not. Try talking to the coach and see if you can get a tryout. If not, it doesn't hurt to try. Find out when the team practices and "accidentally" run your practice time into theirs. Maybe while you're finishing up the coach will see how good you are. Good luck on whatever you decide to do!
