What's more disgusting, a "controversial" artist's offensive work, or the over-sensitive person's imagination that creates a repugnant image to them in which they are offended??? This question is not regarding anything in particular, just wondering what U think.

I shouldn't have said, "over-sensitive". That puts a spin that I didn't want on this question. Plz ignore it.

i find it offensive art offensive mainly because it is like cheating to get a desired effect. for instance, you can rob a bank. but if you do, you will have money you didnt really earn. basically i dont feel that the artists have really earned anything. they just wanted attention. well they got it. but i think its the wrong kind of attention. who wants to be on top of the world when all they are is an an attention whore and a cheat? its an empty success. so anyway thats why i find it annoying.

I believe that each person has the right to look at someone's artwork or not.

I also believe that any one piece of art is going to offend someone and if the artist was not allowed to create based on offense, s/he would not be able to do a single thing.

I believe all of the ruckus raised over controversial art is silly. If they ARE just trying to be repugnant, again, why look?

If an artist's art is against the law (as in a criminal act), then the law should deal with it.

The artist. Why does he want to create a repulsive image? Anything to get attention, just like Tracy Emin's dirty pants on a bed. I thought art was there for people to enjoy, not to repulse people.

Well, if you find Jonathan Yegge's stage performance in San Francisco in which he and one other "artist" had oral sex with each other and then proceeded to defecate on one another all in the name of "art", unoffensive, then I guess that would make me "over- sensitive".

Unfortunately, "controversial" art today is bordering on the edge of inhumane and just pure evil.

Hi !!!

I believe that the problem is that some are abusing their FREEDOM, when they cross over others "FREEDOM LINES".

This people are the very first ones to criticize or complaint, when someone make a remark about their work, expressions or actions.

I wish they stop stepping on others people toes, to express themselves!!!

GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE

A.Z.
