I went to the store the other day to get some Platies and he gave me two platties and 3 mystery fish. They are orange with and look like bala sharks.

Well, the first thing I would say is, if the 3 "mystery" fish aren't what you asked for, take them back. But, if you want to keep them, then that's fine. These could be cherry barbs or albino cherry barbs. I'm assuming the tail fin is the distinguishing factor you were using when you said they looked like bala sharks. It could also be a harlequin rasbora.Take a look at these links, see if they look like your "mystery" fish.

Edit: Izzy, that picture is a clown loach. But, it's a good picture!

They are all orange? Perhaps they are swordfish. I cannot imagine a fish store would have platies mixed with sharks. If they look a little smiliar to the platies yet have a long sharp tail - they are swordfish.

(edit)The image the PP posted is not of an orange bala shark - it is of a clown loach.

I have seen orange bala sharks before. I'll give you a picture of one. This one has black stripes
