Id go & make it interesting,,lol.Tell your bf to stay by your side because you & some of the others are not that friendly & you dont want any trouble.Just be yourself,,if someone is mean,,be nice anyhow & make them feel like the jerks that they are.Answer questions truthfully but kindly or refuse to partisapate in that part of the party. If they give you a hard time,,then its really up to the hostess to end that kind of behavior,,if she doesnt ,,then just leave. And,,tell your bf not to play into their game if they try & turn him against you.Id go tho & beat them at their own game. ;O)

I think you should just talk to your friend and be honest. It would be terrible if you went and were miserable the entire time. I would like to think that if this friend is a true friend, she will respect you for how you feel and for being honest.
Another alternative, is to politely accept the invitation, but let her know ahead of time that you'll only be able to attend for about an hour (or whatever time limit you're comfortable with). Just let her know that you've got obligations to family, or something else that won't put yourself in the spotlight. This way, you get to spend time with your friend on her special day and also take yourself out of the situation in a calm and cool manner.

it seems to me that all you're going to be doing is torturing yourself if you go. tell her that you won't be comfortable and can't make it. don't make up an excuse, just tell her the truth. explain to her why you can't and she'll understand. isn't that why she's a good friend? put her in your shoes but don't hurt her feelings. just go out with your boyfriend or something on her birthday party. then you still get to celebrate~

Nah, don't go. The chances of you having a good time seem pretty slim. You have a good chance of looking uncomfortable. Give her a gift and let her know that while you care for her, it would be in the best interest of everyone if you didn't attend.

I think you and her older brother should go out on a date that evening. That sounds like a really stupid party.

i think you should explain to your friend this problem so she can maybe forbid those things. like say, if you have a bf, you cant make out with anyone or something. go for your friend. as long as you boyfriends there, then you wont be completely lonely
