My son and I were on an airboard flying down this long hill...about the last 20 ft of the slope, we hit a "natural ramp" of ground that swooped us up into the air and dropped us down about 12 in. harder than I've ever landed on my tailbone before. I wasn't sitting flat on my butt...my legs were up around his waist so our feet wouldn't keep us from going down the hill. When I landed I thudded hard down on my tailbone. I hollered out and would have started crying had we not been in public, but adrenaline got me up, and my son. We walked up the hill.....if it was broken ...seems like I woudn't have been able to do that.?...I remarked it would be SORE tommorow and then stood and meandered around for 3 hours at the top of the hill watching him sled ...and FREEZING ..while he had fun . Now that I'm sitting a little and walking a little it is getting SORE.Worst is getting out of the car, or sitting down. Do I possibly have a cracked tailbone? What can I do for the pain? Going to a doctor is actually your best bet. The use of NSAIDs (non steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs) like Motrin, Tylenol, or Aleve will help with the pain and swelliing. Make sure you follow label directions. With my experience, Motrin (ibuprofen) is the least expensive and you can take it every 4 hours...again follow label directions. NSAIDs are notoriously hard on the stomach, so if you stomach problems or heartburn, then try taking them while eating something. I wish you the best of luck.

Go to the ER or your regular Doctor. You need to have it x-rayed to see what type of injury you have. For the pain: you can take an anti-inflamatory like ibuprophen or try excedrin. Also, you need to sit on only soft surfaces like a pillow. Good luck.

practice used motor oil to the lower than aspect of the cardboard sled, so as that the floor is slicker then infant sh*t, and also you'll fly down that grass hill, swifter then greased lightening, pal. would prefer to placed on a helmet to guard the brains in case a tree jumps in the front of you! thanks,
