My son is uncircumcised, and he's 14 right now. I wanted to know if it is normal that when he pulls back his penis skin back, there is some skin crawling up the bottom of his un-skinned part. He's been nagging me about if this is normal or not, and if it is normal when he pees without his skin retracted, it's wet. Is this just usual? Does this normally happen or is there something wrong? Plus, he's been getting this lump in his left testicle and it seems really weird.

What about your penis? You would have done lot of experiment with that! Ask him to pull his foreskin while pissing to avoid infection...you show him how to clean his penis by pulling the foreskin while taking bath....better consult with your doctor...unless we see his penis we can't say anything.

His penis sounds totally normal, I believe you are discribing his frenulum which is on the bottom side between the glans and foreskin.
On a circumcised penis the frenulum is the only part with any of the the nerve sensitivity of the foreskin that is left. It is the spot which his mate will find that can drive him wild. Sadly some boys are so severely mutilated that even this small pleasure spot is removed.
The best way to deal with the wetness is to skin back part way when urinating.
Your son is very lucky in two ways, first he was left complete and not robbed of his wonderful gift, second he seems to have a very open relationship with his parent(s); I wish I had been so lucky on both counts.

Now a more serious matter, that lump is troubling. Does it seem to be above and to the back of his testicle? This might just be part of the "cord" that connects up into his body. Is it on the side of his testicle? Feels like a pea? This could be worse.
Either way the best thing to do is to get it checked out. The doctor can determine the nature of the lump and if any treatment is needed. If it is bad, the sooner he gets it taken care of the less damage will be done. It most likely is not a serious problem but it is best to know and have the peace of mind.
Cancer of the testicle is the most common cancer of males under 35 and can occur any time, usually after puberty. Get it before it spreads, if he looses one testicle he will still function just fine with one, just catch it early!
If every thing checks out ok, this would be a good time for the doctor to instruct your son how to conduct a self exam of his testicles, he can teach him what everything in there should feel like.

If he doesn't retract his foreskin while he pees, then yes, it will be wet because some urine will remain "trapped" by the foreskin. It's not really a big deal, one can wipe the excess away from the tip of the foreskin. As long as he retracts his foreskin and washes the area underneath with mild soap and water every time he showers, he'll be fine.

I'm not sure what you mean by "some skin crawling up the bottom of his un-skinned part," but I think you mean that when he retracts, some of his foreskin moves back on its own to cover the glans (penis head) again. It's perfectly normal for the foreskin to move back over the glans to cover it back up. If this is the case, then when he retracts his foreskin to pee, he'll need to retract it fully and/or hold his foreskin back with his fingers, so it stays back while he pees. He can also wipe away the excess urine at the end of his penis before returning the foreskin to its "resting position" if he doesn't like the wetness.

The lump in his testicle is probably nothing. He seems too young to get testicular cancer though to be sure, you might want to consult a doctor. It's worth having him conduct a self-testicular exam, which could easily determine what the lump is, if he knows what he's feeling for.

I am so glad that you have taken the measures to help your son answer his questions. I would consult your GP about what is normal and what isn't. If the foreskin fully retracts, it sounds like everything is normal. If it doesn't, then get it checked out and keep on top of it. Taking care of the issues now will solve future potential problems.
I wish I had the same attention put on me when I was your son's age. maybe could have solved my problem at the time. I just went through a circumcision at age 39 that MAY have been avoided by timely adolescent intervention.
