The official language used in the Sims is called "Simlish." Will Wright wanted normal dialogue, but he found out using dialogue again and again would become repetitive. So, they created Simlish, a mixture of Tagalog and Ukranian.
The vowels in Simlish are more emphasized then in English, thus giving it more of a latin sound. It is almost entirely spoken with the front part of the tongue and mouth. The sound EE is often used so there are few (if any) gutteral sounds.
For Simlish music, such artists that were recorded in Simlish can be listed in the resource provided.
