She needs to keep the surgical site clean and dry...at least for the first 5 to 7 days. She could bathe....but being conscious about her incision site.....you don't want to put that underwater just yet. Also, applying some hydrogen peroxide will help keep her incision site clean. I'd do that 2 to 3 times a day. After 2 to 3 days have passed, she can keep her incision site uncovered, to let it dry out....but being mindful of it. Keep it clean, get the stitches or staples removed on time....and you shouldn't have any problems. Best of luck.

I had an optionally available cesarean 9 months in the past, and it replace into outstanding! heavily. My 2 toddlers are a 300 and sixty 5 days and a a million/2 aside, and childbirth with my first replace into so stressful that they had to place me under ordinary anesthesia after my infant's start just to do all the needed sewing. i replace into thoroughly out of value for approximately 2 months. earlier I have been given pregnant with my 2nd, I asked my ob/gyn if he would do an optionally available c-section and he mentioned that with my history it may be no subject. of path there are hazards, and that they are greater advantageous with a c-section than with maximum vaginal births. For my particular difficulty the possibility wasn't significant sufficient to be a deterrent. My c-section scar isn't a controversy via fact that's obscenely low. If i had to positioned on a bikini it would not even coach, and that's horizontal instead of the previous vertical kind. no person yet you and your husband will ever see it. i replace into in some soreness for a pair of weeks, besides the undeniable fact that it replace into no longer something while in comparison with childbirth for me. maximum individuals have greater common vaginal births than I did, however, so that's confusing to make a assessment. i replace into away from mattress and taking a tub the subsequent morning, if that facilitates. They stored me 4 days interior the scientific institution instead of two, which replace into yet another income in my strategies. With a one-3 hundred and sixty 5 days-previous at domicile, it replace into outstanding to have somewhat a "holiday" interior the scientific institution and a pair of greater advantageous days to get to comprehend my new infant in inner maximum. a final plus replace into that we could plan precisely while the infant replace into arriving, which replace into outstanding with an older new child around. we could set up new child care and holiday time, which replace into handy for us. and you comprehend going into the scientific institution which you will initiate at a definite time and characteristic your infant interior an hour, instead of thinking in case you will would desire to undergo sixteen hours of work. besides, I had a brilliant c-section and don't sense sorry approximately it for a 2nd!

I've had 2 c-sections. with my first child I took a shower at the hospital. with my second I waited until I got home. I was told not to take baths but showers were ok. and not to let the water hit the surgical site directly. She will be ok.

If she's out of the hospital she should be able to bathe right away. I wouldn't linger in the tub if she's prone to infections, though, just because our home tubs and showers aren't usually sanitized as a hospital one would be.

When her doctor says it's OK to do so. All she needs to do is to ask.
