There seems to be no rhyme or reason. There are sites that I go to frequently and now I can't get into them.

TIA

Thanks for the suggestions so far everyone - but still no luck. I have been working with 2 "computer peeps" with no luck. I've cleared cookies, temp internet files, flushed the dns, etc. etc. These sites won't even come up with Firefox browser. I'm pretty sure it has to do something with the IP config/DNS settings as we are on a wireless router and even the laptop cannot bring up the sites (the laptop uses the wireless - the desktop is hardwired).

***sigh****
But I appreciate all the responses - thank you.

Well, that is somewhat weird. I would start with deleting all your cache, cookies and clear your browser history.... In IE go to Tools > Internet Options and the buttons for thsi are on the General Tab.

Additionally you may need to dump your DNS cache.... Start > Run > Type cmd and press enter. Then type "ipconfig /flushdns" (without the quotes) press enter.

Then try the site again.

Sometimes, if your computer is overworked, the virus/bug/cookie scanners take over, and make your computer crazy. Talk to a computer person. Those people work wonders.
