When the US invaded Iraq under false pretenses, the media just reported what the administration told them to. When Bush couldn't understand/didn't care what was happening in New Orleans during Katrina, the media didn't say much-BTW how come we never hear about New Orleans anymore but we hear all about a Playboy bimbo who died? This lie is the single greatest accomplishment of the right wing EVER.

It exist because most of the newspapers and TV news shows lean extremely to the left and favor the Democrats. Very few in the country lean to the right or for that matter, are even fair and balanced. The worst offenders are the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, and NBC News. They all favor the far left view points and make no attempt to hide it.

the majority of the media is liberal or far far left. I understand theres bad stuff going on in Iraq but they never mention the
good things. You know the majority of the Country of Iraq
is doing well and they dont mention that. They only mention
Baghdad. They hardly mention about the success in Afghanistan.
Why is that? Cause they feel if they do, then that would lead to
give the Bush Admin some credibility. And they dont want to do
that cause they just plain out hate Bush. I think Bush has done
some bad decisions and also some good ones. But the Left
dont want to admit it. The Economy is better than ever but of
course they dont want say that, cause then they would have to
give Bush the credit. And they dont want that. Oh yeah, about
Katrina, Bush told the mayor Ray Nagin and The governor to
have the people to evacuate two or days before Katrina hit.
obviously that didnt happen so you cant blame Bush. Most of
the blame needs to go towards Nagin and the Governor. Or did
you expect Bush to go down there and wave a magical wand
and have everybody evacuate. I bet you think that Bush also
design the Hurricane to hit New Orleans too huh?

The media aren't liberal? The whole idea that the government is there to take money from everyone by force (taxes) for charitable work and giving is a left-wing liberal idea. Where were the news reports questioning why people thought it was the government's job to clean up after Katrina instead of private charities using money, goods, and labor donated voluntarily? The people who ended up the worst off were those who waited for the government to help them and it's always going to be that way because government generally makes things worse.

I think it's absolutely true.
The lack of positive stories about gun owners and guns is a big one.
There are almost never stories of people who use firearms legitimately in self-defense, even though it happens hundreds of times a day around this country.
And when they do highlight people who've fended off attacks with either a gun or something different (they tend to highlight unconventional self-defense situations, like using fire extinguishers to ward off an attacker) there's always that stern warning, "despite what you have seen, experts say complying with a criminal's demands is the safest course of action).
That's a liberal position - the STATE will take care of you, don't try to fend for yourself, or be act independently in your own interests.
