It is not uncommon in some cases for employers to provide W-2's by the end of February. The issues that you are mentioning are best reported to your State's Attorney General's office, Department of Health and Labor. Your state's department of tax and revenue might also be interested in the lack of a license... Be certain to continue to check your mail, report your grievance in a discreet, professional manner in regard to the business practice and follow up courteously with your former employer to ensure that you do get your W-2. Hopefully you have kept most of your pay stubs from last year which can be important to verify any discrepancy in pay or withholding. Regardless of what terms you severed your working relationship on, being professional and tactful as well as documenting your effort to retrieve your tax info will be to your gain if you require the assistance of the IRS or state treasury to do so. Hope this helps, I'd still wait one more week before aggressively acting though.

When I was a freshman in college, I worked at Wal-mart. They refused to give me a W-2, even though I worked there for 9 months of the taxable year. I told my mom and she called and made a complaint with the IRS. The IRS person she talked to also had a daughter who had the same issue. Needless, I had my W-2 a few days after.
My point is, call the IRS.

they have till day after today to mail it. then you genuinely prefer to watch for the submit workplace to provide it, so do not pressure out about it till a minimum of next week. in case you've made each reasonable attempt to get your W-2 and also you nevertheless do not have it by technique of February fifteenth you are able to record a go back utilising a particular type for a change W-2 with information out of your very last pay stub. this may postpone your go back by technique of countless weeks, so I continuously tell human beings its swifter to watch for his or her W-2 or attempt to the contact their business enterprise first.
