Is there any way to fool it into printing? This sucks I need to print my paper for school I can't afford 30.00 worth of ink right now. I think it is set up this way to force you to buy more ink.

with all epsons, you MUST replace the empty cartridge before you can print again.
it sucks, but this is indeed how epson works.
also, do not remove the empty cartridge until you have a replacement ready. otherwise, it will clog up and stop printing correctly.

I have 2 different Canon Printers, I will try to help, with the one, if the color ink tank runs out you can set the printer to use just the tank that has ink, whichever one, your manual would explain this, the other printer gives you the choice of either color or black and white

Nope... here are some ideas
Visit a friend, and print it from their computer.
Go to STAPLES or other store, and ask them to print it for you. At least you will have the print-out at a reasonable price (this time).

I think the printer you have mentioned prints in accordance with the ink preference you have chosen. If you choose B/W it uses only the black ink.
