I just got off the pill and haven't had my period since the 25th of December. I took a home PG test on the 1st of Feb. and I wasn't pregnant. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I be worried? Why hasn't my period come back? Ugh!

when you use the pill you are sending a signal to your body that it doeas not need to waist its energy creatin hormones (very energetically comsuptive for the body) so it will conserve energy when it can and stop producing those hormones (that is why it is NEVER a good idea to live on any type of pharmaceutuical medication for extended periods of time). Often when you then go off the artificial drug it takes a number of months for the body to figure out that it needs to produce the hormones again and to rememebr how and to regulate the quanities... it is normal, give oyur body time toheal from the damages of artificial intervention

I had the same problem. I stopped taking my pill after my last cycle in September. I just received one this week, with absence of pregnancy. I have a medical condition as well though.

It could be a hormonal imbalance. It takes some women time to adjust. If another month goes by, and still no cycle, you might want to see your doctor.

I had that exact same problem. I went off the pill in July (to try to get pregnant) and never got my period. In October I went to see my gynecologist, who did blood work and diagnosed me with PCOS. She gave me provera to get my period, and clomid so I would ovulate. It actually worked - I got pregnant that first month!

So go see your gynecologist.
