The scores for different states are on line and you can google for them.
I think you need about a 200 for National Merit commendation, and from 210 to 220+ for Semi-finalist, depending on what state you are in.
192 is good, but not quite good enough.
ps. don't worry about this. If you want to do better on the SAT, you can practice and study ahead of time and improve your score. The PSAT really doesnt count for much.

once you're a freshman or a sophomore, then this is a robust score, yet nationwide advantage's in basic terms for juniors. that is actual a stable element, simply by fact i'm quite valuable 184 can not decrease it. nationwide advantage Cutoffs are frequently between 210-224-ish. I have been given a 201 as a freshman final twelve months. I beat extremely some upperclassmen, besides the indisputable fact that it became nowhere close to the utmost grade interior the college. That became 97th percentile, and somebody reported that that became stable sufficient for recommended had I been a junior. If 201 is purely recommended, sorry, yet 184 can not do it. yet the two way, 184 is a robust score, and you will desire to be proud which you purchased the utmost grade on your college.

it's definately a high score, but generally the national merit scholarship program requires a 220 or above ( i would check with your school just to be sure).
don't give up though..with that score you are sure to do well on the SAT's. there will definately be more opprotunities for scholorships then as well.
