I'm not sure what species, but I'm going to guess and say that it could be a reed frog. They are very small -if they were clung to the glass and you flicked the outside they could get very hurt.

But yes, all frogs are tadpoles first. The smaller the frog, the smaller the tad pole.

And They do sell reed frogs. I once order one through the mail but make sure to be procautious of their needs and possable registartion needs to where you live.

first they are tadpoles then the start growing the back legs then the front legs then a head forms and the tail will shrink as the body grows, have you really never seen a baby frog they start off small and get bigger.

you can get frogs that are small all the time, but they live under the water for most of the time they swim to the surface get a gulp of air then stay under water for ages.
we used to have some in a fish tank but the catfish grew and one morning they were no longer their we suspect he ate them.

Yes they do but they originally start out as eggs than tadpoles and then frogs. what a lifecycle. That is a really small frog wow. it is a tree frog I think it is pretty cool. you can get tree frogs that are pretty small at pretty much any pet store that sells amphbians and reptiles.

Yes they are tadpoles first. It depends on the type of frog to find out how big it grows. You can try a pet store like Petland Discounts to see if they sell what your looking for! =D

frogs do start as tadpoles as far as i know. we have a small runoff pond out back of my apartment and one REALLY nice day last year we found a TINY toad like that in our apartment....we went to put him outside and discovered they where EVERYWHERE outsides...all of em that TINY!! i figured they were tadpoles and when they became frogs/toads they where that small and grew up as any other animal does. i know you can buy smoe tiny water frogs at wal mart...i've had two. my first one got eaten by a gold fish :( and my second we put in a bowl and he lived for awhile and i woke up one day and he was dead....i assumed it's cause i wasn't feeding him the right stuff.

Yes they are!! And...so are toads.

I live in the country and in the spring and summer we have tons of tadpoles in our ponds, then we capture some and keep them in an aquarium till they turn into frogs or toads then we turn them loose. It's really cool watching them transform. ;)

Well then that was a teensy tadpole. They always start out as eggs then tadpoles or else it's not a frog!

they are egg clusters that get "milked" after they are laid as the male frog or toad will stay with the female until she lays them. the male will attach himself to the females back for weeks! he will milk the eggs and they will develope into tadpoles then develope legs and then arms and loose most of the tail,
