And you still can't spell his name right!
On the more important point, I agree with you. A fascination with Hitler is an infallible indicator of a fifth-rate mind.

HITLER
Greetings JS,,
1. Good question but I cannot answer it except in an elliptical manner.
2. Adolf may be a cult figure to the illiterati: let us not forget that he nwas a Lance-Corporal in the Kaiser's army who then rose to the heights of being a monumentally unsuccessful artist (ie painter & decorator).
3. Your point, however, is well taken about our (island history) so, Lady Margaret Beaufort???? what say you, Sir/Madam?????
Best regards,
Basilisk

I fully agree with you. Although we can be justly proud of Britains stand in 1940 that was almost three generations ago. I am seriously embarrassed when every sporting triumph over Germany is hailed by The Sun in deeply offensive terms. I remember reading of a news columnist on VE night writing. "At this time when the very worst of Germany lies broken and in ruins we should remind ourselves of the very best of Germany by playing Bach and Beethoven"

1) It's Adolf.
2) It's twelve years.
3) Your last question was incomprehensible. What did you expect?

Im not sure what your question is?
Are you saying that we should forget about the war and forgive the Germans?
I think most people have, I certainly bear the Germans no grudges, i actually quite like them.

If you mean let us forget it. We should not forget as it could happen again. There are a few little Hitlers about and hope they stay that way.
