Two ways
If you have the latest version of Explorer, click on tools > delete browsing history > history > delete history
The best way, though, is to download CCleaner - a free download (it stands for crap cleaner - search it in google) which not only clears your search history, but also all unwanted cookies, temporary internet files, the works

you go up to tools then scroll all the down to where it says internet options. once the window opens near the bottom you will see the button clear history. just click on it. and for further information...next to it say the amount of days the computer will keep your history you can change it to 1 so that it clears by itself often.

Highlight each search that you want to delete, then click "delete". You have to do it one at a time, or you will lose EVERYthing you have searched.

if you use a toolbar, click the options button, find the search tab, and there should be something to erase your history. if you want to erase your internet history, this can be done from internet options or tools.

You go to "Tools" and then "Delete Browsing history". Or you can go to "tools" "internet options" and then clear history.

You can download AdAware SE at http://www.lavasoft.com
It will delete all your internet history, recently opend documents, recently opened file lists from most any program, and it has a cool pop-up blocker.
