I'd like to build it using acrylic. It would be fairly small, approx. one & a half feet long & about one foot high, perhaps only a couple of inches wide, fresh water, using smaller fish only & not too many. Hope this all makes sense. Thank you in advance for any help you may provide.

The best advice I can give you is look for a business in your area the manufactures products from acrylic or from various types of plexiglass. They can lead you to the best types and to the best glues for this application. It's really much more involved than you might initially think.

cut a hole in your wall and slide it in. ya might want to build a picture frame around it. or how about a wall shelf?

i saw a sight on building acrylic tanks into old computer shells -- maybe it will give you some ideas.
