In theory you can attach pretty much any speakers to your laptop. It will have a basic 3.5 mm mini jack output. The only real factor is the sound card installed. If it's 16 bit then that's CD quality and will sound as good as your stereo. Most sound cards are 32 bit now, that's cinema/DVD quality. If you only have an 8 bi or lower then you will not be able to improve your sound quality. You may be able to upgrade it but it won't be cheap/easy!
To find out about your sound card then follow these instructions (based on XP)- go to your control panel (in my computer/start menu), double click on system, click on hardware, then device manager, go down to sound, video and game controllers and double click, one of the items here will be your sound card, look at the properties and it will tell you all about it. If it's decent then invest in some nice speakers!
Hope this helps!

I highly recomend:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-X-230-multimedia-speaker-system/dp/B00069ZEA6/sr=8-1/qid=1171150378/ref=pd_ka_1/202-8290670-6027825?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
Logitech 2.1 at a very cheap price. The speakers are amazing quality as shown by the reviews and I use them and love them to bits. They will work with any sound card.
You simply plug them in and you have 2.1 sound. The bass is amazing as well.

Your gadget has a three.5mm enter jack so which you would be able to desire to connect your computing device to. you would be able to desire to purchase a cable with a three.5mm on one end and rca jack at diverse end from Radio Shack. You computing device output won't help any audio gadget connect with it, it has no potential amplifier to rigidity the speaker. want this would prepare you the way to out.
