I'm afraid I'm a traditionalist when it comes to names - I'm not quite sure how to pronounce Adarissa, or what you'd call her for short either. To my ears, it doesn't 'ring sweet'.
Yevette is a great middle name, but she may end up really disliking it - Or, she might like it's uniqueness.
Personally, I'd give her one more normal name and one more unique one...Keep Yvette and then pick something a bit more usual.
But of course, it's not MY daughter! :-) Good luck!

You name your baby what YOU want. I agree with that other user, though, try switching it to Yvette Adarissa.
We're having the same problem. We're naming our son Athanasios Elefterios after my father-in-law (he's Greek), and my whole family keeps saying "huh? could you spell that for me?" They'll get used to it though.

Don't pick a name that pleases others. name ur daughter what u want to name her. if she doesn't like it when she gets older she can pick a different name, but there is no reason to please others with a name especially if U don't like it. Besides it's ur child not theirs! I went through the same but I named my son what I wanted, my family got over it.

To be truthful, switch the names, Yvette Adarissa flows much better.
Who cares what your family thinks.

You are her mother, you are the one who will have to call her name over and over.
If you really like that name, go for it. If you decide to change your choices every time somebody tell you they don't like it, your child will be born and you won't even have a name that pleases everyone you know.
Good luck!
