Iraq is a big problem...the unfortunate truths are that bush should have not made the big mistake in a first place of leading us into a unjustifed war with no plan.
our 2 options are leave or stay. If we leave we risk Iraqis resenting us for tearing down their country and leaving them without a plan or real leader. Undoubtedly there would be future problems...more terrorists, wars etc. However if we stay we risk them resenting us for controlling their government (which is why they resented us in the first place) and making them a puppet nation for us while we profit off of their resources. Ultimately, we will see reprecussions for a very long time if we go down that road.
There is NO real way out...so I propose a quick phased withdrawl, bring em home rebuild moral (rebuild our military)
This is an area of the world that has been at war since the beginning of civilization. Changing them is as hopeful as changing any other stubborn man.
thoughts?

I'm not saying help them, I'm saying help ourselves...because what Im saying is whichever direction we take americans will die...so how many and how prepared do you want to be? if we retreat now we can rebuild our military during peacetime and get ready for a possible future attack. If we stay we're dying now and we're going to die later. We're stretched thin right now with nobody signing up and 40 year olds fighting their 3rd tour.
Everything ultimately ends in either a stalemate or a comprimise
unless of course you drive muslims to extinction and that won't ever happen.
they are a puppet nation...just like the rest of the world..even vlad putin JUST said it. We're too controlling and it's gotten us into quite a bit of trouble. Other people live on this earth, just like you breathe, so does some muslim and some africans and some russians and so forth.
We need to respect what sustains our life and thats mother nature.
disagree if you want but not foolheartedly..PLEASE!

US troop withdrawal from Iraq is the right solution to avoid further American deaths and loss of money. Let the Iraqis establish their own government.

All we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance

We were living quite peaceful
Kind of minding our own
Not Bombing the Balkins
Or throwing a stone
We looked at our towers
With pride in our glance
They stood so majestic
While we gave peace a chance

Then out of the blue sky
A plane it did come
And shot like an arrow
Towards tower one
We watched it in horror
A terrified trance
What evil would do this
While we gave peace chance

Now all we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance

Then o’er above Penzy
A phone call got through
And the man who received it
Knew just what to do
He heard of the towers
Of the terror advance
Said “We’re all gonna die now
If we give peace a chance”

So they summoned their courage
And bravely they fought
For the lives of many others
For their own not a thought
And though they did perish
The plane fell like a lance
Their remembered as heroes
‘Cause they gave War a chance

Now all we are saying
Is give War a chance
Hand out the ammo
Let the Army advance
They haven’t attacked here
Since we’ve taken that stance
Peace didn’t work, SO
Lets give War a chance

Yeah, Peace didn’t work, So
Let’s give War a chance

And if War doesn't work, then
Let's give Nukes a Chance!

You fly a plane into a building and kill 3,000 of my brothers and sisters. Do it in a name of a religion that condones this crap all over the world you better believe than people are going to get wacked. If I was president Mecca would be glowing after this attack. The reality is that Islam cannot live with other religions. Look anywhere in the world Islam cannot coexist.

The mistake was made by the Iraqi's in a genuine fit of stupidity!
They had a Secular society and just had to make it a Muslim State!

Now, the twenty Dollar question becomes Sunni or Shi'ite?

Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!!!!!!!!

BTW, if we were not there, and 100,000 innocent Civilians were being killed, would you want to try to help them or just ignore the situation?

Is the present government a puppet government? Their leaders are politicians who were democratically elected. Puppets governments are usually dictatorships installed by a foreign government.

Won't work. Has no one learned the lessons of World War II, Korea, or Viet Nam?

How about pulling all Iraq citizens and US military way
back, and then bombing the heck out of the rest of them?

All we need to do is give the Marines free-fire rules of engagement.

We will have this thing wrapped up in a week's time!
