Stop asking this question.
For all I care AFI was more of a hardcore punk band than alternative.
I don't call them alternative band at all. Because they're not. They only get called that because stupid people can't describe their current sound.

AFI is a "rock" band that's come in and out of the spotlight for a while and now they're in. I don't like them. At all. They are very mainstream. I don't really care how people label them. If you like them, call them whatever you want. Paint them up to look like how ever you please.

i call them alternitive rock or just rock.

they're good. and to that one person above me:
it's wrong to dislike a band ONLY because they're mainstream.

Of course it's ******* alternative.

What did you think it was? METAL? HAH! They wish they were metal.

There are two ways i can describe them, alternative wanna be metal head, and emo screamo crapttards.
