As long as you drove it up and down driveway using brakes as well.
Probs could be seized brakes components, possible tyres have flat spot if car was in same spot all the time without moving.
You may be lucky and all is fine, my sons fiesta sat on driveway 2 years, it had mot last year, new front disks and new exhaust. It walked the test just a few days ago, now my son has passed his test and car is on road with no probs, I got my youngest son to service it today as i felt unhappy till it was serviced, he works in a local garage on 4 day work experience from school best thing he did.
Get your car serviced after it passes its test to be sure all is ok, book it in separately as some garages like mots and services done together, its a good money maker for some.

Six months is too long to leave a car sitting.
Be careful starting it up. Best to take leads off spark plugs and just turn the engine over without firing to get some oil around it.
You may need to replace your battery. Sitting for so long it may have become sulphated and will not likely hold a charge.
Depending on your location (near the sea or in a big city), the weather may have done untold damage. Make sure the car is fully steam cleaned before the MOT.
Best bet is to have a local mechanic look it over but you've left it too late if the MOT is next week.

Most likely thing that will cause a problem is corrosion on the brakes, take it out for a gentle drive, make sure the brakes work before going any faster, you need to get the brakes nice and warm to clean them up then with all good luck your MOT will be easy.
Before you go just check the obvious things over, all the lights work and the windscreen wipers havn't perished.

hi there, its not a good thing on any modern car to be just parked on the drive for that time span, your biggest problem will be the brakes,ie the handbrake couds well be stuck on or releasing but not properly, also the brake callipers could have seized a bit as well, the discs will be surface rusted causing loss of eficiency.i would advise if the vehicle is going for the mot to have the brakes serviced first, that way you wil avoid the failure on brakes and the rush of getting it done afterwards.

If it hasn't moved for 6 months, your rear brakes could be siezed up, or the handbrake could be stuck in the on position. When you do start it up, it will rattle like a bag of nails because every drop of oil has drained into the sump by now.
