i would like to see the man's true feelings expressed. the falling in love should be written from personal experience to make it real. neither partner should be "perfect". no one really looks like described in novels or at least not for long. women tend to read romance and long for it instead of making real things happen. so don't make it so perfect. i am not saying women can not think beyond that but there a lot of lonely people out here that stay that way because they are looking for that perfect lover that they read about. make it a little more real

I would like for the guy to be genuine and his words to come directly from the heart. I don't want to read anything that sounds like "pick up" lines. Instead, I want words that pertain to me. Words that will indicate the writer has put some thought into his expression. I enjoy reading poems that are simple, and to the point. I enjoy reading love letters as well; nothing too mushy.

As himself...

If he's a romantic then the "roses are red, violets are blue" would be romantic...but if he was a beer guzzler and he wrote a poem "This buds for YOU!" would work just as well.
