I live in US and it seems that music videos disappeard back in the 90's. I dont know why. MTV here, turned into reality TV mostly. Complete garbage.

I don't watch MTV anymore - there are too many reality shows. I think it has turned into a reality programme channel because MTV has plenty of other channels on which they can play music videos. There's MTV2 (for rock and indie music), MTV Base (for R&B), MTV Hits (for popular music), MTV Dance (for dance music obviously!), MTV Flux (where viewers can vote for what videos they want to see) and MTV also own VH1. There's normal VH1 and VH1 Classic which shows old, classic videos.

We have music videos here in the UK. Channels like The Music Factory (TMF), The Hits & VH1 Classics all provide 24-hour music videos.

Yep! Infact, there is more than MTV now- there are like 30-40 channels! We see some of your great American talents such as MCR, FOB, Pink, Kelly Clarkson and others, as well as british bands like The Kooks, the Arctic Monkeys, and The Tower of london.

Of course, they do! Both in the U.K. and the U.S., music videos till exist, more than ever! However, since the major music outlets are not playing much music videos now, artists and fans have their music videos on played on various places. Most commonly, you can view music videos on YouTube and Public Access, community televisions. Then, there is Music Choice, Pepsi Musica and viewing music videos on artists' websites. I hope this helps. Peace.

the only time they play music videos is at the end of "making the video" which is still running despite the fact that they DON'T PLAY MUSIC VIDEOS. oh well.
