yes, peroxide straight out of the bottle and let soak for a few minutes and blot with clean white cloth. May take a few times. Can also use after peroxide a carpet cleaner and a toothbrush to scrub it. This will dry faster and can even vacuum up residue when dry. Do early in day so its dry when you go to bed. Get a mattress cover of plastic to prevent this again. OR if you can, snatch some of those hospital pads to sleep on at this time of month.

Peroxide, the kind you buy in a brown bottle at Wal-mart or drug store.Pour onto mattress and blot up after it sets. An old man that worked at a hotel told me this about thirty years ago. Came in handy with a teen age daughter. Hope this helps.

Peroxide or vodka will do the trick too to get the blood out and do it early in the morning so your bed will be dry in the evening and then buy yourself a good mattress cover....Good Luck!

Hi Rich,
Blood stains can be removed from a mattress by dabbing it with peroxide, or spraying OxyClean (in hot water) on it.

Well, I heard on Z100 last year that spit(saliva) gets stained blood out of things. I tried it too when I had a nose bleed and I got blood on my shirt and it worked.
Spit on the mattress. (With the doors, windows and blinds closed so people don't think you are weird) and dab it out with a paper towel.
Spray with febreeze, just cuz. :)
