I like Rudy too. I think I could over look the gay and abortion issues to vote for him. I am really more concerned about a candidate who will close the borders and deport the illegals. If you think about it Bush is not for abortion and yet they still happen. I will vote for the person who will take a stand on immigration and who will remain committed to destroying terrorism, and who is more concerned about our countrys well being than the opinion the rest of the world has about our country.

If he is the republican nominee which I doubt and Hillary got the democratic nod. I will not vote because I have decided that I will no longer vote for the candidate that I feel is the lessor of the two evils. Besides Hillary if elected would not want the first woman president to be remembered as a failure so she would do what Bill did, Latch on to the conservative ideas and pass them off as his own and take credit if they succeeded and place blame if they failed.

25% and 24% of gays voted for Bush in his Presidential campaigns, mostly gay men. Bush did poorly with lesbians.

However, Giulliani is also for gun control. Gun control is NYC is prettt strict. You know there will be a huge anti-Giuliani campaign by the firerarm lobby.

Both are really non-issues. The President has no authority to affect either of them.

Anybody that would base their vote on these issues is, at best, ignorant of the way our system works, or simply foolish enough to let their vote be influenced by party propaganda.

I could care less about gay rights, or abortion. But I will NOT concede my guns. We will need them when the terrorists come back, if we vote somebody in who doesn't have a big brass pair.

I'm not a Republican, but of course I can't in good conscience vote for anyone who thinks slaughtering innocent human beings is acceptable. If you cast a vote for Rudy, you cast a vote for this:

If you can "get past" that, there is something wrong.

I am a conservative Christian Republican and I could easily look past Rudy's differences, because I do not vote for candidates solely on their stance of social issues.

I'm a liberal- but I like him.
if he is the right-wing canidate I won't be worried about which way the election goes- it will have its postives on both sides, either way

- just a quick comment based on another answer- its not that it really matters what people think about us, but everyone needs allies/friends. and no one, including us, wants to be abandoned

No, it is important that the nominated Republican candidate is pro-life. We can't have someone that believes that killing innocent unborn children in brutal ways is a "choice"
