the towels are for when the water breaks and wrap the baby in it after it came out.
you show try to give birth without any drugs because it is a wonderfull feeling to feel how your baby is comming out of you. you shouldnt miss that.
it does hurt as hell but right after the baby is out all the pain is gone....

The towels are usually to wrap the baby in as he/she is born and then given to you. Giving birth is different for everyone, some say it hurts, some say it's uncomfortable, some have no pain at all. You can have pain relief if you find it hurts too much.
You can push reclining back, on all fours or in a squat position - just depends on where you feel comfortable.
Check with your doctor or midwife for futher advice.

Towels are for the clean up. Birth is very messy. It will hurt. I had epidurals all three times and if you are already planning on getting an epidural get it asap and don't try to tough-it-out because you'll just tire yourself out. FYI to "push" is the same action as pushing out poop when you are constipated; remember that and you'll get the baby out much quicker.

Yes it hurts. If you have drugs, such as an epidural, you might not have any pain at all. The towel is used to wrap your baby in, when he or she is born. You can push in many different positions. You'll naturall find one that's comfortable for you. Although is you have an epidural you'll be stuck in the same position.

The Doctor will need towels to clean the baby after the delivery and yes it will hurt

to clean the baby and mop up blood.
yes but u get over it fairly easy
you can lay on your back, squat ,lay on your side

it hurts!
drugs help
about 3 months later, you won't remember the pain
a year or two later, you'll think that wasn't so bad, I can do it again
