Why is the emotion of love so important to human beings?

more than an emotion with no physical quantification, love is a motivator. and i think it is physical and derivative of your hormones and bodily chemistry. it is flowing through your veins so you cant escape it. it is there to motivate individuals to build, create, do, and reproduce. if you havent heard the song "Lemon" by U2 you should, because I think that the words express why love is so important to human beings, particularly for men.

the problems only arise when there are maladaptive situations, which dont make sense to us, but they have their importance. they can cause a bloodline to die out or basically cause a great adaption of swim faster and create an evolution as well.

We have to go to war, eventhough we know we're killing eachother and we come up with all kinds of "reasons" to go and kill our fellowmen.

No, we can't be good and that's no good or is it? Is there anything at all that we can do about this? Well, we have tried machines so far so good, thank you very much. Lately we've been trying cloning, we'll see how that one comes out.
