Links to another part on the same page?

I've done this before, but it's been a while.

Example: I want to let my link in a menu section lead to the bottom of the page where I have the article on it.

Isn't it called an anchor? I've forgotten, it's been so long since I've done this for a webpage. If you could provide a good site or tutorial with this that would be great. Thanks.

Yes, it's called an anchor. You create an anchor much the same way you create a link, by using the tag (which actually stands for anchor).

When you specify links by using the , the link has 2 parts: the 'href' attribute in the opening tag and the text between the opening and closing tags that serve as the hot spot for the tags.

Anchors are created the same way, but rather than using the 'href' attribute in the tag, you use the 'name' attribute. The 'name' attribute takes a keyword or words that you will use to name the anchor.

So, for example, you want to put a link in the menu section of your page to tell your visitors to go to that section at the bottom of the page. So you would name your menu section:
The Menu Name in your menu section; and make sure you use the hash (#) mark before the name.

Then, at the place where you want them to go once they click on The Menu Name, you would have: Whatever You choose here....

Well, it's called so. As far as I can remember, you should just put the anchor with the Name field at the place you want to link to and then link to the anchor.
