I own a 2001 626 LX 2.0L and had to replace cylinder head and head gasket.Are they known for this, and should I have any more problems with this now that its replaced,I've heard they will never be the same, ???

No thats rare. I had a 82 B2000 go 267000 miles and sold it. Never in the engine.Just oil and gas,brakes.

The life of a head gasget can be significantly shortened if the car overheats or runs hot for an extended period of time. Do you know if the car has ever overheated? Since you replaced the faulty part, and assuming the mechanic did a good job, you should be good to go for many miles.
