like I said: "
You are never too old to start gymnastics. Although ou are way taller than me, and I am in nineth grade. I am 5", 14 years. So I am pretty short. It sounds to me that you are very flexible, I can't even kiss my knees. I am just a begginer too. I am a little flexible as well, but I am almost there doing my splits. Yes there is a defenat chance of you being in compitiotions if you work hard, try stretching everyday so you get flexible, thats what I do. And it works!"

Most girls in elite gymnastics are barely 5ft. in order to do the very demanding tumbling. You might have been able to get away with it if you had started seriously at about 6 years old. If you're thinking about it only now, it's way too late.
