Well, if you are that certain, then there is not a lot anyone could say to change your mind, am I right? Frankly, I personally wouldn't go for a Mac if you have been using a Window's machine in the past for several reasons. You have to get used to a new operating system, macs cost 500 to 1000 dollars more than most PCs, and Macs are not compatible with a lot of software. Then again, it also depends on your major. If you are going into something like video editing or music or something where you will be modifying a lot of pictures, movies, or songs, then I suggest Mac, other wise go for a windows machine. But I like I said before, if you like Macs already and you are sure about getting one, then there is nothing any one can say or do to stop you.

Not yet. Check with the college to see what they use in the courses you're interest in.
If they use PCs, you will be hating life. They might have you use certain software, and it might not work on a mac, even though macs have good pc emulation, it could be a problem.
If it's for gp, I like apple.

I don't think so, but thats just because I'm a Windows know-it-all... Basically, Windows is good with layout and word processing, and Macs are good at graphics, printing, stuff like that. There is not as much software for Macs as there is for Windows though... Good Luck!

That depends. If you are a gamer, I would advise you to go with windows. If you like to program, go linux. Otherwise, if you just want something that's easy and convenient (or if you want to use editing software on your laptop) mac is for you.

Sure why not. I'm getting a McBook too, with cheese, and a side order of McFries, and a McCoke. Oh, and don't forget my McSundae for dessert.
