What causes them and is it something to worry about? Do I need to do something to fix this?

They are just errors in the web sites you visit and nothing to worry about. You can turn off the messages if you do this:

Open Internet Explorer, click on Tools at the top, click Internet Options.

In the window that comes up click on the Advanced tab at the top, and check BOTH of the boxes that say "Disable Script Debugging", and also check the box that says "Display a Notification about every script error".

Now click OK, and close Internet Explorer and reopen it. Try the site you got the error on and it should not give an error.

Its a program error.

If you have this happening on your pc then the chances are that one of the programs are corrupted or that the data its processing has become corrupted. It can also happen if two programs are trying to access the same data source.

Your question is a bit of the 'how long is a piece of string' variety so I cant be very specific. To get the answer I suspect you seek then I d have to know what programs are running each time the error occurs.

What to do? Not a lot but reinstalling the software you know to be running might help.

A script error is when the programming that makes up a file or web page or whatever isn't written right, and so it messes up. If you didn't write the programming, it's not your fault. If it's a web page that messed up, you might try emailing a webmaster to tell them about the problem.
