What is up with people who buy stuff just for the brand name?

Yeah. And I also noticed that they seem to get uglier every year. I sometimes wonder if Nike is conducting some sort of experiment to see how ugly something has to get before people will stop shelling out money to have the "cool" shoes.

Jordans aren't ugly...
I collect jays because it's the history of the greatest player, and it links to my childhood. I can remember what shoe i was wearing when i did what, what shoe mike was doing when he did what.

I guess it's an attempt to make themselves look better? They must try to divert their imperfections away from them by means of material objects... sounds right to me...
