There pitching is still up in the air. I think they improved but still not great.

Their weakest spot is Back end of the rotation and middle relief. We don't know what Igawa will bring to America and if Pavano will stay healthy and be able to pitch like he did to earn him his big contract. Middle Relief is just as good as last year i think which was their problem. The bridge between starter and Rivera was always shaky. Proctor is really the only person i trust to eat up any amount of innings in the pen. Other than that i think they improved defensively with Doug M. coming in to help high school teammate Alex Rodriguez. Outfield will be studly with guns at the corners from Melky and Bobby and we all know Johnny doesnt have the best arm but plays full out for every ball.

It doesn't look like they have anymore weaknesses...
They finally relized there is alot of YOUNG Talent out der... and they let some of the older guys go... 2 Bad for Bernie he will be missed.
Now the only weakness they have to take care of is A-Rod. Hopefully he will be back to his old MVP like self...

There starting pitching staff is has the chance to be pretty weak.

No one knows about Igawa

Pavano is another toss-up

But this could all change if they get Roger Clemens.

Take away Rivera, and their entire pitching staff is a weakness.

AROD and loss of team chemistry that they had in the late 90s

Well they have the wrong person playing shortstop which makes them weaker at 3rd, ss, and 2nd base. As long as Jeter wants to be a selfish player though this can not be fixed.
