Australia does not have a King. The Monarch is Her Brittanic Majesty Queen Elizabeth. She is in her 80s, but I don't know her exact age. She reigns but does not rule - look up the difference. Her representative is the Governor-General, a person with very limited executive powers who is formally Head of State. The G-G is appointed by the Queen for a few years from a very short list of prominent Australian citizens nominated by the government.
The government is by the majority party in the parliament, currently a coalition of Liberal and National Party members. The leader of the Liberal Party in the House of Representatives is the Prime Minister, currently John Winston Howard. He represents an electorate in Sydney, so he is both Prime Minister and a member of the House of Representatives. Unlike the USA, the heads of various government departments are selected from elected members of the House of Reps or the Senate and not appointed by the head of state.
As in the United Kingdom, the Queen may not enter the House of Representatives, but may enter the Senate Chamber.

We don't have a King, but we have lots of Queens in Sydney.
You can come and see them when the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is on.
