Balboa Park and its world-known museums are wonderful. The city is big on music and entertainment and filled with Galleries. North of it also are San Juan Capistrano and Dana Point and Laguna which are Artists and Gallery Havens-as well as beaches and surfing! Many Galleries reside in San Diego and the people are much more arts and culture oriented than many towns-I am a proff artist-30 years and though it is expensive (I lived in Laguna) its a beautiful, busy, wonderful place and much better than say LA. Also the weather is supreme. Good Luck on your future

Positioned in Southern California, perhaps not not even close to the Mexico edge, San Diego may be the oldest town in California, established in 1769 and if you wish to know an area with a wonderful organic beauty and a nice climate, with slight conditions and plenty of sun with hotelbye you should start. In San Diego you can visit: museums, gardens, Spanish Colonial style structure within Balboa Park, the planet popular San Diego Zoo, and the Midway Aircraft Carrier Museum. SeaWorld San Diego is one of the city's main attractions, especially for families. It is situated along the waterfront in Mission Bay. For several American's SeaWorld has been quite a while family tradition, having been with us since the 1960s. One of the features are the myriad of reveals featuring killer whales, sea lions, dolphins, and different sea life. You can find all sorts of trips from roller coasters falling in to water, to more sedate carnival type trips for tots. SeaWorld is an aquarium that allows for close up discusses sharks and other sea animals that can be observed via an acrylic canal, along side touch tanks, and shut activities with dolphins and inhabitants of tidal pools.

Go to the website below. It gives a visual of San Diego County. A lot of Spanish and Mexican influence, especially in architecture and design. Museums are located in Balboa Park. Look up the park on line and browse through it. There are many different aspects to see and enjoy. San Diego is a nice place. I lived there for 46 years.

Seemed a very nice place when I went there ... not too sure about culture although there are a whole load of good museums in the park by the zoo. As for art - there was a shop we used to look in where they sold some spectacular paintings.
I hope this has helped a little bit least.
