Life just keeps on getting better.
The fact of the matter is that nobody expects life to get worse. Life just changes. After high school, you can either go to work or enter college, and if you don't have a kid, you'll probably spend a lot of time with your friends and having fun. Relationships get easier, because nobody's concerned about all the BS in high school. Once you settle down, kids can be a real joy, but can be very trying. Then you start looking forward to your kids growing up and getting out on their own so you can have your own time again. Then after you've had some fun and success, you start looking forward to retirement.
People always groan about getting older, but it's BS. Sure you don't have the muscles or the beauty you had when you're younger, but your smarter and have a lot more money. It's a trade-off that balances out. So much so that people always look forward to the future.
High school sucks. I hated it when I was there in the 80's. It's the only part of my life I wouldn't go back and relive if I had the chance. After high school, life has just been getting better and better. Sure I've had my ups and downs, people die, get divorced or laid off. If you keep a positive outlook and have the gobstoppers to handle the occasional crisis, you'll keep your head above water and your future bright.
Hope this helps.

I think that being a teenager is hard because you're going through everything for the first time - the first break up, the first loss of a friend, the first lots of things. You don't have the skills to deal with these situations yet, so they're a lot harder than they are later in life, when you have more life skills.
I think that life is MUCH easier in your 20s, and so far my 30s have been pretty great, too. My mother says that things just keep getting better, and she's in her 50s. Most of the adults I know agree, things get a LOT better as you get older. Some things get harder, too, but you have a lot more freedom, a lot more money, and a lot more ability to steer your own course through life.
People around you will also grow up and stop doing stupid things, too, as you get older, which makes life a lot easier.
Hang in there. Try to have as much (safe) fun as you can while it lasts. Don't take anything too seriously, and don't do anything that will have consequences that can screw up your future (drugs, sex, etc.). Make good choices, and you'll turn out ok!

Everyone has bad parts in their life. I hated high school, loved college, liked work after college, got engaged, then got unengaged, and now I'm living alone. I was depressed at first, but you just have to move on and look forward to things getting better. As you get older, you will probably become less confused and lost, but there is never a guarantee that your life will be great. Like the previous poster said, life is what you make it. Stay positive and surround yourself with good friends, and you'll be fine!

Well, I have been out of high school for 2 years now. I had to quit college because I am pregnant. So far, I have no money and bills to pay. I have to pay rent and utilities and everything now. I am on my own and it is hard. When I was in high school, I could go out and have fun and do anything. Now, all I do it work work work so I can have food to eat and just to live. It is hard after high school even when you are in college because you have more responsibilities. Enjoy it while it lasts. ONe good thing is that you don't gotta get up for school. (but you do gotta get up for work, lol; but money is nice always!!!)

It could get better. It could get worse. It depends on the individual. I'm not enjoying high school now...I have a feeling it's going to get a lot better, or at least I hope.
