I think it's a bit too difficult to believe it's true.
Too many of the camera angles are far too narrow to explain why, for instance..a door slammed shut or a table moved. There is no proof to the viewer that one of the crew in the room didnt do those things, you only get their say-so. Which as any good sceptic will tell ya, is inconclusive at best!
As for the knocking and tapping noises they ask the spirits to make to prove their presence, well we all know old buildings make noises all by themselves, and also, we don't know that it's not a crew member doing those things on cue.
All in all...Most Haunted should be taken with a GIANT pinch of salt!

And i don't know about anyone else...but i would love to string them all up if i hear them say..."what was that???" ...one more bleedin' time!!!

Certainly since they got rid of Derek Acorah. David Wells is rubbish - all he ever seems to do is to speak to 'Elizabeth' or 'William' which, lets face it, were very common names in the 19th and 18th centuries.

What gets me now is that the team ask for a knock or tap to prove a spirit exists and when they get a response, treat it as proof. I think they're really stretching it now.

When Derek was in it, the program provided much more conclusive proof, especially the episode at the former RAF base (can't remember what it was called) I think the removal of Derek from the show has perhaps backfired and exposed just how vulernable it is to accusations of being a set up.

I do believe in it, but sadly the present crew come across as being 'actors' more than anything else, which is a real disappointment.

I arent sure about this....though I do have doubts evertime Karl or Stuart say something. Karl is the director hint hint and producer he and Yvette started Most Haunted and every episode its on something happens to him and its never actually seen its always what he says....for instance i got kicked just. Theres no way of proving it and I dont trust Karl as far as I can throw him. One way it doesnt seem as fixed is because when Matthew Smith goes on the live shows the Audience have a go at him...I dont think the Most Haunted crew would let him on if all the time he was going to say its a total fake its just your imagaination balhdy blah. Stuart I think is told by Karl that if you do this and that I will pay you much because things are always personally happening to him. I dont think unless I actually went on one of those investigations I would ever think they are true...perhaps parts but not all of them. For the mean time I'am just going to tune in for a great laugh as they all scream...because to me it is trully hillarious.

About Derek I think he makes most of it up because why does he give a date from e.g. 1787 - 1823 wouldnt the alleged spirit tell him the exact date they were born or whatever and not just give him a barrier. I think he does this because of what he has read has said differently from different sources so he tries to say that whay the spirit has said. Also I have noticed that in the later series with Derek he started to be possesed alot more than he used to. And every episode that I watch Derek Acorahs ghost towns he is possesed...so sometimes I belive he does make it up.

But in the end its up to you. Good topic by the way.

it's all fixed and staged and nothing exciting ever happens even then!! It's boring and all that ever happens is bits of dust float about in front of the cameras and that they get sum1 2 throw something at them from somewhere the cameras can't see the from. It's pathetic. I'm not a sceptic, I'm very open minded but Most Haunted is a load of rubbish and it's about time everyone else realised how rubbish it is too!

My sister watches that all the time.
Wouldnt it be good if a real ghostie appeared?
I watched one where they were at an old air force base from the war. They could 'feel' death and sadness. Well Duh hardly fun palaces were they?
