I used to be an a tutor for elementary aged students in the subjects of Reading/Phonics and Math. I worked in Michigan and now live in the Atlanta, GA area. I'm not sure what individuals charge/pay in this area. Any tips or suggestions? I'd like to keep my pricing fair.

I suspect pricing would change too much from area to area, but I could be wrong. People around here (Upstate New York) tend to get 25 - 27 an hour. Good luck.

I was a private tutor in New York, and the going rate there was around $30-35. Atlanta is probably fairly similar to NY in many ways. Check out ads for other tutors in the area (their qualifications, expertise, etc.), and price yourself accordingly. Google "tutoring in Atlanta", and see what kind of info you get. Good luck.

Call the local school districts in the area and see what they charge for home bound instruction. Some districts may even hire tutors for parents who request them. You should find a rate there.
