You should stop buying American Eagle clothes when you don't like them or don't feel comfortable in them anymore. Usually, I would say that happens between 20 and 30, but it is completely up to you.

I don't think there is a magical age when you stop. I'm 40 and I still buy some things there. In fact, today I am wearing a sweater I bought at Aeropostle. I think the key is as you get older you need to buy what is age appropriate. I can find things that are age appropriate to me in almost any store in my local malls.

wow i would say at about 12 but maybe thats just me.. i personally did the whole name brand clothing for awhile and all i shopped was a&f, hollister, ae.... it got old fast though when you start wanting to develop a personal style of actual FASHION rather than just A&F or AERO plastered across your chest. Nothings wrong if you like the clothes there i just cant see why you would shop there when theres so much more out there.

Whenever you feel like it. American Eagle seems to cater to a little more sophisticated style, though. I saw a woman in her late 40s (looked like) the other day wearing American Eagle jeans. It's not like they're too teeny-bopper looking or outrageously sexy or anything.. so I say, why not wear it if you want?

Well, I'm 27, and I still shop at both, including The Gap, Charlotte Russe, and others that are frequented by teenagers. People think I'm about 20, so it's working! Seriously, though, if you can wear those clothes and look and feel good, it shouldn't matter what age you are. :-)

I'm not fond of either store, but if you still look good, I'd say 35. I know 35 y/o people who look far younger and better than most 25 year old people. It really depends on your style and how well you've held up physically.

Why shop there at all? It really doesn't matter what brand of clothes you wear. If you want to wear something, then wear it, just make sure it is modest enough and doesn't look trashed.
