the school was putting up flyers for a dance that said "cupids chokehold" on it. The teachers saw them and took them down and then asked the class. do u all know what that means. everbody said no. i wanna know what it actually means

I work for a school district - it's the word "chokehold". This word will never fly on a poster.

I'm not sure. I tried looking it up to see if it was slang for something, and the closest I could find was cupid's mace meaning ejaculate. So maybe it's slang for masturbating or something? Who knows? (I can't find any evidence of this online...maybe that was the teachers' dirty minds?) :-)

I think it's just a song's name. Maybe the teachers didn't approve of posting flyers or maybe just didn't approve of the band.
