No because the only good thing he did was after the incident of 9/11 but up till then he was corrupt and a sleaze bag. He tells his wife about divorce in a press conference (family values).
He had built the NY Command Center in the Twin Towers regardless of numerous objections from first responders. Because he got huge campaign funds from the landlord, as a result several first responders lost their lives. Had the command center been in Brooklyn as suggested by first responders things would have been much better.
Took more money in campaign funds and gave a no bid contract to Motorola, the radio's had major problems during 9/11 and also currently for all the other cities that he pimped those radios to.
On 9/11 he was heading towards the Command Center not to the crash site as suggested by him himself in his book, and last that I checked the Twin Towers are still not up.
He was great at 9/11 but what made him great wasn't his presence but George Bush's absence.

i'm a Democrat and lived in NYC in route of the top of Rudy's second time period as mayor. in the previous people opt for to vote for him, or anybody for that count number, they must understand the position he stands on subject matters. maximum persons that see him understand him for in trouble-free terms 2 issues, the shrink in crime in NYC and how he dealt with 9/11. i am going to assert this about Guliani. As a Democrat he's both my widespread candidate and the scariest candidate in the Republican container. He has the most ideal probability at prevailing a regular election of any Republican, and, oddly, he's the Republican i'd least suggestions prevailing. he's a in a position manager, I percentage dissimilar his social perspectives, he's a Yankee fan and that i found his demeanor comforting after 9/11. there grow to be a tremendous shrink in crime the following throughout the time of his words as mayor, besides the undeniable fact that the credit for that is not any longer totally his (Police Commissioner bill Bratton advantages some credit to boot... and that i receives killed for this yet so does bill Clinton. certain, crime went down everywhere in the country in the course of the 90s. It basically went down swifter the following). He appointed solid judges at the same time as he grow to be the following, he has a humorousness, all in all he's an effective large apple city Republican. We improve 'em diverse the following. i do not pay interest to the personal lives of applicants, so the three better halves and the affair do not difficulty me. he's not in any respect campaigned or been a staunch supporter of "kinfolk values" so there is not any hypocrisy there. If Rudy were given the nomination, i'd evaluate vote casting for him in accordance to who the Democrats nominated. There are 3 or 4 Democrats i'd take over Giuliani without wondering, after that i'd ought to furnish it some concept.

Yes, I would vote for Rudy any time! He handled the 911 New York crisis in a very professional way. Unlike some of the New Orleans politicians - he gets things done. After going through the 911 tragedy the way he did I feel that he would be a lot more prepared to handle any further terrorist attacks than many other politicians. He is what us people in the south call a "Good Ole Boy".

The man showed he could handle a crisis situation with class and honor, and was able to win twice as a Republican in an overwhelmingly Democratic city, cleaning it up from the cesspool left him by David Dinkins.
Among the people out there, he's the only one that truly looks like a leader. If he's not the GOP nominee, the Republicans can kiss the White House goodbye (and I'll be voting Libertarian again).

I am sorry, but I never liked the guy. He is as corrupt as his predecessors. But maybe that works there in New York nowadays. Especially after that nestbed of corrupt cops that used to work in the twin towers were lost in 9/11.
Luckily I no longer live in New York, so I dont have to worry about that anymore.

Giuliani is going to run away with the GOP nomination, he is a social liberal and a fiscal conservative. Nobody can be a more liberal spender, nation builder and communist big brother spy state than GWB.

Yes. While what you are saying may be true, a lot of other politicians are guilty of similar if not worse. He has made NYC sooo much cleaner and nicer to live in.
