need exposure? I've heard of these websites and contests before but don't know of any off hand. It is where anyone who visits the site gets to hear the bands' that are participating's song and then vote for the best one. Whoever gets the highest vote, gets to open for a popular group. Any music fanatics out there ever heard of the latest competitions and which sites they are on?

Bodog is sponsoring a Battle of the Bands. However I find these contests to be stupid. It's like the popularity contests from high school. Does anybody even remember who wins these things. People remember good music from bands with integrity like Nirvana, Sonic Youth and the Pixies. If you are looking for some good bands that are breaking right now I would suggest The Sounds, Blue October and The Black Keys.
