perhaps I should have post this in the philosophy section but I believe here was more apropriate.
the question is;
If the 0 dimension is a point
the 1st dimension a line without width
the second, a square without depth
and the 3rd a cube (without god knows 'what')

Is there a way to visualize (or conceptualize) the fourth dimension?
and ofcourse what would the 'what' as stated above be, or 'might'

i know the answer you want.

the other answers eluded your question by bringing time into the picture. time can always be "added" as an extra dimension.

spatially, when a square is moved at right angles to all the square's dimensions, you form a cube.

similiarly, you must now move the cube at right angles to its current dimensions ( an impossiblitity to visualize but conceptually possible ) to form something called a "tesseract" which is mathematically a "hypercube".

because we perceive only 3 dimensions spatially ( probably because we are 3 dimensional objects ) it is unlikely that any human being is able to visualize such things.

the answer to your question is NO.

P.S. even if the universe were made of more dimensions, then wouldnt those intelligent life forms in that universe be made of many dimensions also ? ( and thus be able to perceive more than 3 D ). i believe we live in 3-D universe and and can visualize only 3 dimensions for this good reason.

thanks and hope your question was answered.

the 4th dimension already is conceptualized, it's called TIME, i'm sure you're familiar with that notion. however, it seems that there are actually 11 dimensions which cannot be visualized by human beings, or at least not at this point in our evolution.

No, there is no way to visualize the fourth dimension (unless, of course, you consider time to be the fourth dimension).

The 'what' in the cube line is %$#@!&^%$#$%$...can you visualize that?

Look at the link below. A picture of a 4-D cube projected into 3-D space is provided.

I have already replied to that, haven't I?
Or is this a test on the 4th dimension perhaps being time?

It is 3 dementional in real time I heard. If it is happening now, it is 4D.
