A theatrical trailer is shown interior the theatre. With the creation of the internet, television and the flicks are not the only place to be sure trailers, and for this reason the teaser trailer (considered on the internet) is born.

Yes, sometimes. Especially horror movies.. I think movies in general would be more successful if all you got was a basic plot without all the fancy music, Don Lafontaine's voice, all the best clips from the movie.. the trailer makes the movie out to be much better than it actually is.

Most of the time. Most times I don't even have to go watch the movie, b/c i already know the plot and resolution just from watching the trailer.

Absolutely.

If there is a movie I want to see, which is rare now a days, I either turn the channel or do not watch trailers for it.

YES! In almost every trailer I've seen, they blow the ending in it.
THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Like in The Departed. They show Mark Walburg shooting someone in the trailer. There's a lot more, but I'd have to think of them. I absolutely hate it.

It depends on the movie. Sometimes they give you too much, while others leave you wanting more. The second one is why you would go. The first, you can probably wait until it comes out on DVD.

No...they usually show the most visually stimulating clips, but rarely does the preview go along very well with the plot of the movie..
