The birds and the bees? How old were you when your parents gave you the talk? Were you/they embarrassed?

By the time they finally got around to it, I could have told them a few things. Yes, I was embarrassed.

I've talked to my kids about it since they were little. We always called body parts by their proper names and I've answered any of their questions with straight talk. We're not embarrassed to talk about it except that my 14 year old daughter can NOT say the word 'sex' without giggling.

My parents didn't tell me, my older sister did the night my parents had given her the low down on the birds and bees, I was 7 and totally shocked when I found out were babies really came from.

I got the talk when I was 5, My parents read us a book called "The Facts of Life" we knew all about it except how to do it! We figured that out on our own.

I never had "the talk" I tried asking my dad what a blo w job was when i was 12.He walked off and nothing was ever mentioned after.

i never got the 'talk' from my parents thank god! but i did have three older sisters who talked about sex enough for me to pick up what they were going on about and all my friends thought i was cool as i always knew more then them lol

my mom only asked me about when i was allowed to start dating
my chruch made sure no kid was gonna do it b4 they were married
i always get embarrassed when my mom talks bout anything bout it w/ me- although the look on her face when i told her my bf and i talked about s3x... priceless
