i know how to weave and sew is it a lot harder? any good websites?

There are sooooo many ways to get started. First, go to the library and check out a book called knitting and crocheting for dummies. Second, I cannot sew, so it's not harder. LOL.
Anyhoo, it will take time and patience.

I suggest you go to the craft store and buy a beginners crochet book. If you know anyone that crochets ask them to show you some basis steps. Start on something very simple .It is a craft you can teach yourself if you have the patience .

Crochet.about.com can show you the basics. I think it is easier than weaving, and certainly more portable. You can go on to youtube and search crochet to find videos of people crocheting.
there are alot of free patterns on the web, and there are books and even magazines with clear instructions. even your local yarn shop will be willing to teach the basics.
