talking to my ex girlfriend who I am trying to remain friends with i told her through a txt message that "my friend is having a party and that there are probably some hot guys there. im not gonna drink, but she usually throws good parties. wanna go?" several people thought that that was a jerky thing for me to say. why is it so jerky? i just wanted it to look like i didnt care (even though i am in love with her.), if she said that to me i wouldnt get insulted. please explain why it is or isnt jerky.. thanks

to be honest its a bit strange that you want your ex to meet hot guys but no i dont see any problem saying that to her if you have no issues with the matter

Guys and girls have different views on everything. You would probably go to a party just because you knew hot girls were there. She, on the other hand, probably goes to parties to have fun, not hook up with hot guys. If my ex sent that to me, I would think he was calling me a skank and trying to say that I am just looking for hot guys to get with. You should tell her you are sorry about mentioning the hot guys part and was just trying to be a good friend.

It's not jerky, it's kind of weird that if you are in love with her, why would you try to hook her up with other hotties, while you're gonna be right there? You should let her find her own hotties, this way you won't be hurt again!

i dont think it was jerky but txts can often get misinterpreted...

By the way: if you still love her, you should tell her.

That's not mean but if you're in love with her I wouldn't be recommending hott guys to her.

we do sometimes say stuff that protects our own ego's, so we won't get hurt. u just don't want her to know u still care in case she rejects u.

no, it sounds fine to me. no reason to apologize. if she doesn't like it then i would just say tough. you have the right to do what you want to do without justifying yourself.
